60 Days of Google Tips for Teachers - Tip 1: Sharing Files and Folders in Google Drive

Here is tip #1.  We will be bringing you one per day until school resumes in August.  Check back to learn some small helpful tips about Google for Education tools.

Remember that you have options when sharing in Google Drive.

1) View Only: Those with this access can see your files and make their own copy of your files, but cannot edit your originals.  This is perfect when you do not want your documents messed up by others.

2) Editable: This setting allows others to collaborate with you on the same file to edit (add or delete).  Be sure you want others to be able to edit before selecting this setting when sharing.

On another episode, I will explain how to restore a document back to an earlier version if your editors do mess something up!
